Actions for Erecting Girl-statue Unabated in S. Korea
Pyongyang, August 20 (KCNA) -- Actions to erect girl-statue indicting the sexual slavery, hideous unethical crimes committed by Japan, are unabated in south Korea, according to the south Korean internet paper Tongil News.

Since the 30th girl-statue was erected in Kunpho City, Kyonggi Province on August 9, the girl-statues depicting victims of the sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army were erected in different parts of south Korea on the 71st anniversary of Korea's liberation.

The girl-statue was erected in Muan County, South Jolla Province on August 14, and four statues in different parts on August 15 alone.

A meeting took place in front of the girl-statue in Kuro District, Seoul on August 15.

Speakers at the meeting said the girl-statue reflects the wishes to satisfy grudges of the victims of the sexual slavery and bring only peace to this land.

They noted they will never forget the past of the victims of the sexual slavery.

It was reported that the girl-statues were also erected in Tongjak District of Seoul, Ansan of Kyonggi Province and Ronsan of South Chungchong Province on the same day.
