Chinese and Turkish Papers Report S. Korean People's Struggle against THAAD Deployment
Pyongyang, August 20 (KCNA) -- Chinese and Turkish papers on August 15 and 16 reported the struggle of the south Korean people against the decision on THAAD deployment.

The Chinese Huan Qui Shibao said in an article titled "Songju residents protest by head-shaving" that a large meeting took place against the decision on THAAD deployment in south Korea on the 71st anniversary of Korea's liberation from the colonial rule by the Japanese imperialists. At the meeting nearly a thousand participants had their heads shaved in protest against the authorities' decision on THAAD deployment, it added.

The Turkish paper Daily Sabah said:

On August 15 Songju residents of south Korea had their heads shaved in protest against the decision on THAAD deployment.

In July the south Korean authorities decided to deploy THAAD of the U.S. in Songju County under the pretext of "nuclear and missile threat" from the DPRK.

Upon the decision of the south Korean authorities, the DPRK declared its will to take retaliatory measure.

The south Korean people stage protest actions saying that THAAD can never be deployed in any part of south Korea, to say nothing of Songju County.
