Energy-saving Architecture Encouraged in DPRK
Pyongyang, August 12 (KCNA) -- Energy-saving architecture is gaining momentum with the development of zero energy and zero carbon architecture in the DPRK.

In this regard, Kim Kum Song, director of the Green Architectural Institute under the State Academy of Sciences, told KCNA:

The institute was inaugurated in accordance with the noble intention of Supreme leader Kim Jong Un to develop ultra-modern architectural technologies.

It is not long after its inauguration, but has made achievements conducive to increasing the country's wealth by solving a number of sci-tech problems.

The institute, in particular, has achieved successes in the research into setting a standard of skyscraper designing in conformity with the global trends.

It set indices to zero energy and zero carbon buildings and has solved theoretical and technical problems for attaining the indices.

The achievements made by the institute have been applied to building Ryomyong Street into an energy-saving and green one.
