Nature Museum, Central Zoo in Pyongyang Introduced by Media of China, Myanmar
Pyongyang, August 1 (KCNA) -- Chinese media and Myanmar TV introduced the Nature Museum and the Central Zoo of the DPRK on July 25 and 27.

The Chinese Huan Qiu Shibao said:

The Nature Museum and the Central Zoo situate at the foot of Mt. Taesong in Pyongyang.

The appearance of the Central Zoo was radically changed.

The entrance to the Central Zoo portrays a tiger of Mt. Paektu with its mouth with sharp teeth fully open.

The Korean people regard the tiger of Mt. Paektu as the spirit of the nation against imperialism.

The Nature Museum newly built in a little more than one year covers 35 000 square meters.

The Nature Museum and the Central Zoo of the DPRK are monumental edifices.

The Myanmar TV said:

The Nature Museum and the Central Zoo were built to be peculiar according to the far-reaching plan of the Workers' Party of Korea.

The Nature Museum covering vast areas is a mass educational and science research and dissemination base and leisure complex as it house the Space Hall, Paleozoic Era Hall, Mesozoic Era Hall, Cenozoic Era Hall, Animals Hall, Plants Hall, Gifts Hall, E-Library and Sci-tech Disseminating Room.

More than 40 animal sheds such as the Shed of Reptiles, Shed of Monkeys, Shed of Beasts, Shed of Elephants, Shed of Giraffes and Shed of Small Horses have been peculiarly built.

Phoenix Satellite TV Holdings LTD. and Ta Kung Pao in Hong Kong, China carried photo-accompanied articles introducing the Nature Museum and the Central Zoo.
