Indian Newspaper Discloses U.S. Real Intention behind "Theory of Threat from North Korea"
Pyongyang, July 30 (KCNA) -- The July 28th issue of the Indian newspaper Rising Europe carried an article titled "The U.S. real intention behind 'theory of threat from North Korea'".

The newspaper said that the U.S. is aggravating the situation on the Korean peninsula with its large-scale war exercises while describing the DPRK's measures for bolstering up its self-defensive capabilities as "threat".

It went on:

We are going to disclose the injustice of the U.S. "theory of threat from North Korea" that the DPRK's measures for bolstering up its self-defensive capabilities threaten world peace and security, and the real intention sought by it through the theory.

Explicitly speaking, the above-said DPRK's measures can neither be "threat" nor "provocation" in light of international law and from realistic viewpoint.

Firstly, the DPRK's measures are the exercise of the legitimate right to self-defense in full line with the UN Charter and international law.

Secondly, the DPRK's measures are the legitimate ones for self-defense in view of the U.S. hostile policy toward the DPRK and the intensity of military threats against it that have lasted for several decades.

The U.S. real intention in spreading the "theory of threat from North Korea" is to justify its aggression hostile policy toward the DPRK and push forward its rebalancing strategy in Asia-Pacific.
