Its inaugural ceremony discussed the matter of celebrating the Day of the Sun and the Day of the Shining Star, the birth anniversaries of President Kim Il Sung and leader Kim Jong Il, as jubilees common to the world progressives and published a press release on it.

The preparatory committee with Tin Tun, chief of the institute, as its chairman will organize colorful celebrations, give wide publicity to the shining exploits of President Kim Il Sung, leader Kim Jong Il and Marshal Kim Jong Un and positively support the Korean people in their just struggle for building a socialist power and achieving the national reunification on the occasion of the Day of the Sun and the Day of the Shining Star in 2017, the press release said.
