Kim Il Sung Remembered in Foreign Countries
Pyongyang, July 10 (KCNA) -- Events took place in foreign countries on the 22nd anniversary of demise of President Kim Il Sung.

They included round-table talks in Myanmar, lecture and film show in Hungary and film shows in Romania and Angola from June 27 to July 4.

"Always in Minds of Mankind" and other Korean films were shown.

Tha Win, secretary of the Yangon Regional Committee of the Union Solidarity and Development Party of Myanmar, said that Kim Il Sung was an outstanding leader who defeated the Japanese imperialists, accomplished the cause of national liberation, beat back the U.S. imperialists' invasion and built Korean-style socialism centered on the popular masses under the uplifted banner of the Juche idea and the Songun idea. The secretary noted:

He made immortal contributions to accomplishing the cause of global independence.

The distinguished exploits performed by him for the development of the DPRK and its people's happiness and global peace and stability will always be remembered not only by the Korean people but also by the world progressive people.

Gyula Thurmer, chairman of the Hungarian Workers' Party, lauded Kim Il Sung for defeating U.S. and Japanese imperialism in one generation and provided the firm political, military and economic foundations for the DPRK to steadily make a long drive.

Constantin Rotaru, chairman of the Socialist Party of Romania, and others lauded Kim Il Sung for ushering in a fresh era of history, era of independence, and taking all people to his arms with boundless humanity.
