The statement said that the Korean people and progressive humankind are looking back with deep emotion upon the immortal exploits performed by Kim Il Sung with boundless yearning and in reverence for him on the 22nd anniversary of his demise.

It stressed that he founded the immortal Juche idea and Songun idea and thus brightly indicated the road to be followed by humankind and built the socialist state centered on the popular masses on this land and consolidated the single-minded unity of the whole society as firm as a rock.

National reunification is his lifetime desire of Kim Il Sung, it said, and went on:

The line and policies for national reunification advanced by him serve as the greatest patriotic programme for the independent and peaceful reunification of Korea.

He made great contributions to achieving the unity of the international labor movement, accomplishing the cause of global independence and defending world peace.

He is, indeed, the peerlessly national liberator and hero and benevolent father.

He is always alive in the hearts of the Korean people and progressive humankind.
