Dolgachev, first secretary of the Maritime Territorial Regional Committee of the Communist Party of the Russian Federation, was elected chairman of the remembrance committee.

The committee decided to organize political and cultural events to remember the revolutionary career and exploits of President Kim Il Sung on the 22nd anniversary of his demise.
