Prisoner of Conscience Goes on Hunger-strike in S. Korea
Pyongyang, June 7 (KCNA) -- The south Korean internet paper Minjok Ilbo on June 4 carried an editorial "Do-or-die hunger-strike of prisoner of conscience discloses oppressive dictatorship of Park Geun Hye."

The editorial referred to the fact that ten days passed since Kim Hye Yong, member of the Korea Solidarity for Independent Reunification and Democracy, started hunger-strike in demand of the withdrawal of the "security law" against the suppression by Park Geun Hye regime under the pretext of "public security."

The editorial went on:

Civic and public organizations of south Korea and the international community support the righteous struggle of Kim Hye Yong, demanding her early release.

The Measure Committee of Civic and Public Organizations against Suppression under the Pretext of Public Security called an urgent press conference at Kwanghwamun on June 1 and expressed the will to make Kim's hunger-strike the struggle for Park Geun Hye's step-down and make every effort for the earlier release of Kim who is in critical condition.

The international committee opposing suppression under the pretext of public security in the south widely imparts this problem in Europe and held a meeting in Paris on June 3 demanding immediate release of Kim Hye Yong and denouncing the Park Geun Hye regime.

The expedition group for peace of the Korea Solidarity conducts demonstration every day outside the White House and Koreans in the U.S. and American civic bodies join in the demonstration.
