WPK Delegation Meets General Secretary of C.C., CPV
Hanoi, June 6 (KCNA Correspondent) -- A delegation of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) led by Choe Thae Bok, member of the Political Bureau and vice-chairman of the Central Committee of the WPK, on a visit to the Socialist Republic of Vietnam met and had a talk with Nguyen Phu Trong, general secretary of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV), at the building of the CPV Central Committee Monday.

Choe Thae Bok said that the Seventh Congress of the WPK elected supreme leader Kim Jong Un as chairman of the WPK reflecting the unanimous will and desire of all party members, service personnel and other people.

Choe noted that under his wise guidance the service personnel and other people of the DPRK turned out as one in the drive for implementing the decision made at the Party Congress, referring to the constant efforts made by the WPK and the DPRK government for defending peace and security on the Korean peninsula and in the rest of the world.

Congratulating Nguyen Phu Trong on the successful 12th Congress of the CPV and his reelection as general secretary, Choe wished the party and people of Vietnam greater success in the work for building rich and powerful socialist Vietnam by carrying out the decision made at the party congress.

He expressed the principled stand of the WPK to develop the traditional friendly and cooperative relations between the two parties, countries and peoples which were provided and cultivated by the preceding leaders of the DPRK and Vietnam with much care and to which the top leaders of the two countries are now paying deep attention.

Nguyen Phu Trong warmly congratulated Kim Jong Un once again on his election as chairman of the WPK and its successful Seventh Congress.

He said that Kim Jong Un, chairman of the WPK, dispatched a high-ranking party delegation to have his verbal message conveyed, a clear proof of the traditional friendly and cooperative relations between the two parties and two countries.

Noting that the friendly relations between Vietnam and the DPRK provided by President Ho Chi Minh and President Kim Il Sung have developed on good terms under the deep concern of the leaders of the two countries through generations, he stressed it is the steadfast stand of the party, government and people of Vietnam to consolidate the friendly and cooperative relations with the party, government and people of the DPRK.

He extended full support to the fraternal Korean people in their efforts to achieve socio-economic development and reunify the country.
