Chairman of C.C., Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea Vows to Work Hard for National Reunification
Pyongyang, May 30 (KCNA) -- All the agricultural workers fully support the strategy for national reunification clarified by Marshal Kim Jong Un in his historic report made at the Seventh Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) as the immortal great programme for reunification to be held fast to by the entire Korean nation, and are fully ready to carry it out.

Ri Myong Gil, chairman of the Central Committee of the Union of Agricultural Workers of Korea, said this in a statement on Monday.

The strategy for reunification advanced by Kim Jong Un clarifies the fundamental principle and ways to be maintained to defuse the danger of a war on the Korean peninsula, convert the north-south relations now at the lowest ebb into ones of trust, reconciliation, dialogue and cooperation and open the way of national reunification and prosperity by the concerted efforts of all Koreans and the proposals for carrying them out, the statement said, and went on:

If the north and the south settle the issues related to the important affairs of the nation by their concerted efforts from the stand of By Our Nation Itself as proposed by the WPK, a wide avenue will be paved for meeting the nation's interests and achieving common development, peace and prosperity.

Availing ourselves of this opportunity, we ardently call upon the farmers in the north and the south to join hands and turn out as one in the struggle for the independent and peaceful reunification of the country in unity under the banner of By Our Nation Itself true to the reunification programme set forth by the WPK.

All the agricultural workers in the DPRK renew their firm resolution to hold in high esteem Kim Jong Un, the great lodestar of national reunification, and devote their patriotic passion and efforts to the sacred struggle for national reunification to realize the lifelong intention and desire of the great leaders.
