Speakers scientifically explained the theoretical and practical matters necessary for activating the work to protect and increase biological diversity that have something to do with the existence of mankind.

The participants exchanged successes and experience gained in the work for protecting ecological environment and biological diversity including situation of biological diversity worldwide and importance of swamp.

Present there were officials and experts in environment protection of ministries and national institutions including the Ministry of Land and Environment Protection and the Central Committee of the Nature Conservation Union of Korea, scientific and research institutes and relevant fields, members of the International Union for Conservation of Nature, the Hanns Seidel Foundation of Germany, the UNDP mission here, the Syrian ambassador to the DPRK and a staff member of the German embassy here.

The participants saw round pictures introducing function of swamp and its use, before enjoying a video on biological diversity.
