Greetings to Kim Jong Un from Ugandan President
Pyongyang, May 18 (KCNA) -- Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Workers' Party of Korea and first chairman of the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, received a congratulatory message from Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, president of the Republic of Uganda and chairman of the Uganda National Resistance Movement, on May 16.

The president in the message extended warm greetings to Kim Jong Un and the government of the DPRK, the Workers' Party of Korea and the Korean people on his own behalf and on behalf of the government of the Republic of Uganda, the Uganda National Resistance Movement and the Ugandan people as regards the successful holding of the Seventh Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea (WPK) and Kim Jong Un's election as chairman of the WPK.

Kim Jong Un's election is a clear demonstration of the trust of the Korean people to hold him as the leader in high esteem, the message said.

It extended greetings to Kim Jong Un and the Korean people on this significant day, an important event in the history of the great country and hoped for close cooperation with him in the future.

Availing himself of this great and auspicious opportunity to express satisfaction with the harmoniously good relations of cooperation between the two countries and two parties, the president expressed once again his intent to closely work with Kim Jong Un to further strengthen these wonderful relations in the common interests.

The president wished Kim Jong Un good health in the future, too, as well as the Korean people and the Workers' Party of Korea eternal prosperity.

He expressed once again the warmest congratulations and noble tribute to Kim Jong Un.
