The article praised Kim Il Sung, founder of the Korean People's Army (KPA) and legendary hero, for advancing the Juche-based military idea and successfully applying it, defeating the Japanese imperialists and achieving the historic cause of Korea's liberation, beating back the U.S. imperialists who boasted of being the "strongest" in the world for the first time in history and honorably protecting the dignity and sovereignty of the country.

It noted that leader Kim Jong Il, faithful successor to the cause of Kim Il Sung, trained all service personnel to be strong in idea and faith and led the struggle for defending socialism to victory in the 1990s under the uplifted banner of Songun.

The KPA has demonstrated its might to the whole world as the leader's army fully prepared politically and ideologically and in military technique under the leadership of supreme commander Kim Jong Un identical to Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il, it noted, adding:
