Breeding Tilapia in Seawater Succeeded
Pyongyang, May 12 (KCNA) -- The Kamapho Fishery Station in the Democratic People's Republic of Korea has recently succeeded in habituating tilapia to seawater.

The station built seawater fish ponds covering 10 hectares and bred omnivorous and highly-productive tilapia fries in the ponds to a degree of 180g in 100 days.

It formed a food-chain in the ponds by cultivating tilapia at its upper layer and planting shellfish at its bottom.

The station settled various sci-tech problems and used natural and assorted food in breeding tilapia.
