Protest Actions against Anti-Labor Policy Staged in S. Korea
Pyongyang, April 29 (KCNA) -- The Seoul Headquarters of the south Korean Confederation of Trade Unions held a press conference outside the building of the Seoul District Agency of Employment and Labor on April 26 to protest against the puppet authorities' anti-labor policy, according to the south Korean newspaper Nodong and Segye.

Speakers said that the will of workers and other people was manifested in the recent general election.

This was a rebuff against the act of inflicting pain on the people to meet the interests of capitalists only, they noted, adding:

Nevertheless, the "government" and conservative political forces are making a retrogressive revision of the labor law to worsen the living of workers while crying out for restructuring and lay-off.

In a press release the organization declared its plan to stage large-scale actions against the regime's anti-labor policy across south Korea with the May Day as a momentum in demand of the basic labor rights of all workers.

On the same day press conferences and demos took place outside the agencies of employment and labor across south Korea all at once to condemn the authorities' moves to revise the labor law and demand the resignation of the minister of Employment and Labor.
