Referring to his undying feats in party building, the editorial notes:

He formulated the revolutionary idea of the great leaders as Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism and has glorified it as the eternal guiding idea of the party and energetically led the work for modeling the whole party on Kimilsungism-Kimjongilism.

The ideological and moral foundation of the party and its unity in thinking and purpose has grown stronger under his leadership.

Regarding it as the basic principle governing the building of the party to firmly establish the party's monolithic leadership system, he has wisely led the struggle to do so.

Thanks to his tested leadership the party ranks have become purer in organizational and ideological aspects and a sure guarantee has been provided for accomplishing the Juche-oriented cause of party building on the basis of the lineage of Paektu.

He laid down important strategic lines and new policies with the aspiration and wishes of the Korean people as the starting point and absolute standard and led the party to invariably consider it as the supreme principle governing its activities to provide the people with a highly civilized and happy life.

The Workers' Party of Korea is now struggling, regarding the trust and love for the people and selfless devoted service to the people as the mode of its existence and principle of its activities under the care of the Marshal.
