In the run-up to the Day of the Sun on April 15, the birth anniversary of the President, more than ten thousand servicepersons, officials of the ministries and national institutions, working people and schoolchildren visited Mangyongdae with yearning for him every day.

Through their visits they grasped the revolutionary career of the President who embarked upon the road of revolution in his early years, fought a bloody anti-Japanese armed struggle to liberate the country usurped by the Japanese imperialists and built the DPRK into a socialist power independent in politics, self-supporting in economy and self-reliant in national defence.
