Production Plans for First Month of 70-day Campaign Hit
Pyongyang, March 25 (KCNA) -- Leading industrial establishment in the DPRK hit their production plans for the first month of the ongoing 70-day campaign.

According to data available, the working class in the electrical power industry carried out their daily plan at 106 percent in the first 30 days of the campaign.

In this period, collieries turned out more 200 000 tons of coal than scheduled. In particular, the Sunchon Area Youth Coal Mining Complex fulfilled its plan at 117 percent on a daily average. And 13 youth shock brigades in the Tokchon Area Coal-Mining Complex accomplished their tunneling plan for the first half of the year, while over 1 000 coal miners carried out their production plan for the first half of this year and thousands of coal miners the first quarterly plans in South Phyongan Province.

Eye-catching achievements were also witnessed in metal industries.

The Hwanghae Iron and Steel Complex over-fulfilled its Juche iron production plan 124 percent on a daily basis and the Chollima Steel Complex remarkably boosted the production as compared with the same period last year.

The Jaeryong Mine hit its iron ore production plan for the 70-day campaign 103 percent in 24 days.

Signal successes were also reported from machine industries and railway transportation.

The Taean Heavy Machine Complex finished the production of generating equipment for the Paektusan Hero Youth Power Station No. 3.
