Press conferences, one-man demo and propaganda activities were staged by the civic and public organizations in Seoul, Inchon, Pusan, Ulsan, Iksan, Mokpho, Kwangyang and Sunchon.

The organizations strongly accused the U.S. and south Korean authorities of staging the Key Resolve and Foal Eagle 16 joint military exercises involving hugest-ever nuclear war hardware and troops.

Saying that they oppose the above-said drills bringing the dark clouds of a war to hang over the Korean peninsula, they called for defending the people's rights to independence and existence.

They urged the U.S. and south Korea to immediately stop their war drills.
