Day of Shining Star Marked in UK
Pyongyang, March 3 (KCNA) -- The New Worker, the organ of the New Communist Party of Britain, carried a special write-up on Feb. 12 illustrated with a photo of leader Kim Jong Il to observe his birth anniversary (the Day of the Shining Star).

The newspaper said in an article that the Korean people were greatly delighted and excited to hear the news of the successful launch of earth observation satellite Kwangmyongsong-4.

It went on:

The launch holds greater significance as it was made in the run-up to his birth anniversary.

He was born in the secret camp on Mt. Paektu during the hard-fought anti-Japanese war grew up to be a great revolutionary.

He developed and enriched the Juche idea fathered by President Kim Il Sung and thoroughly embodied it in all fabrics of social life.

After the sudden demise of the President, Kim Jong Il declared that no one should expect any change from him and went through unprecedented harsh trials with which the Korean revolution was faced, leading the Korean people to victory.
