Sci-Tech Complex Draws Endless Stream of Visitors
Pyongyang, March 1 (KCNA) -- Nearly 300,000 persons have visited the Sci-Tech Complex since it was inaugurated on Jan. 1 this year.

The number of visitors reached more than 5,000, at least 10,000 at the maximum every day.

Information service at the complex is drawing the attention of scientists, technicians, educationists and experts.

The number of visitors to e-libraries is on the daily increase, reaching almost double the number in the early period of service. Attracting visitors are new book reading hall which houses new foreign scientific and technological books and magazines dealing with 34 sectors available in more than ten languages.

There is growing interest in new books among university students. Working people and school youth and children are studying hard with computers in reading halls on each floor including the main reading hall on the second floor.

The reading room for children, e-library for students and animation file reading rooms are very popular among youngsters.

The number of visitors to tele-lecture rooms is on the steady increase. It is now quadruple that in the early period of service.

There is an increasing number of visitors to the question-answer room providing service not only to those coming to the complex but also to learners across the country through a computer network.

The complex arranges various programs at academic symposium hall, temporary scientific and technological exhibition and intellectual products exhibition. Besides, it offers various scientific and technological tours.

The hall dealing with the development of science and technology, ultra-modern science and technology hall, scientific pursuit hall, application science and technology hall and six other scientific and technological exhibitions and the outdoor scientific and technological exhibition consisting of future energy area and scientific amusement area are crowded with visitors.
