Among them were Kim Yong Nam, Hwang Pyong So, Pak Pong Ju and other senior party and state officials, the chairperson of a friendly party and officials of the party, armed forces and power organs, Cabinet, working people's organizations, ministries and national institutions.

Laid before the statues of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il was a floral basket in the joint name of the Central Committee of the Workers' Party of Korea, the Central Military Commission of the WPK, the National Defence Commission of the DPRK, the Presidium of the DPRK Supreme People's Assembly and the DPRK Cabinet.

The participants paid tribute to Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il before their statues.

At the hall where Kim Jong Il lies in state the visitors paid tribute to him.

They went round the room where the orders he received are on display, which is associated with the reverence of the Korean people and world progressives for him and halls that house a car, electric car, boat and train coach used by him during his field guidance and foreign tours till the last moments of his life.

Meanwhile, service personnel and working people from all walks of life visited the palace to pay high tribute to Kim Jong Il on the same day.
