Day of Shining Star to Be Celebrated in Sri Lanka

| Pyongyang, February 7 (KCNA) -- A Sri Lankan preparatory committee for celebrating the 74th birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il (the Day of the Shining Star) was inaugurated on Feb. 3. The vice-chairman of the Sri Lanka-People's Korea Friendship Association was elected chairman of the preparatory committee. The committee decided to hold colorful political and cultural events to praise the revolutionary career and exploits of Kim Jong Il on the occasion of his birth anniversary. |
