Present at the meeting were personages and members of the committee, political parties, organizations, organizations for friendship and solidarity with the Korean people and organizations for the study of the Juche idea in Peru.

The meeting held a by-election of the leadership of the committee.

Genaro Ledesma Izquieta, chairman of the Latin American and Caribbean Regional Committee to Support the Reunification of Korea and chairman of the People's Front of Workers, Peasants and Students of Peru, called for making the people properly know about the reality of socialist Korea and the positive efforts of the party and people of the DPRK for safeguarding the country's sovereignty and peace and security in the Korean Peninsula and the rest of the world and conduct a more dynamic drive for arousing the people to the movement for solidarity with the Korean people.

The meeting adopted a joint statement of the committee and 14 political parties and organizations of Peru.

The statement strongly denounced the U.S. heinous hostile policy toward the Korean people wanting to lead a peaceful life on the reunified one land.
