Association of Koreans in Japan for Peaceful Reunification Meets
Tokyo, January 21 (KNS-KCNA) -- A meeting of the Association of Koreans in Japan for Peaceful Reunification was held in Tokyo on Jan. 20 to usher in a new era of independent reunification in response to the tasks for national reunification set forth by Marshal Kim Jong Un in his New Year Address.

Present there were Nam Sung Su, vice-chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), and other vice-chairpersons, officials of the Association of Koreans in Japan for Peaceful Reunification across Japan and officials of organizations and enterprises of Chongryon.

Ri Tong Je, chairman of the Association of Koreans in Japan for Peaceful Reunification, made a speech.

He said that Chongryon and Koreans in Japan turned out in the drive to thoroughly carry out the five-point tasks set forth by the Marshal in his important May 25 letter in order to demonstrate the might of Chongryon this significant year in line with the noble idea and intention reflected in his New Year message.

Speakers said that they would never pardon the south Korean authorities who concluded the humiliating "agreement" with the Japanese authorities on the crimes related to the sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army and mercilessly chilled the desire of the fellow countrymen demanding Japan's sincere apology and reparation for the colonial rule over Korea but wage a valiant struggle against the anti-reunification forces.

Then Nam Sung U spoke at the meeting.

A decision on the movement for national reunification this year was adopted at the meeting.
