The statement of the DPRK government on the success in the first H-bomb test was read out and congratulatory speeches were made.

Speakers said that the DPRK's successful H-bomb test conducted in the run-up to the Seventh Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea provide a sure guarantee for the future of the Korean revolution and world socialism.

The DPRK succeeded even in its H-bomb test in the wake of completion of lots of structures startling the world such as Mirae Scientists Street and the Sci-Tech Complex, they noted, adding:

This meant a historic event which declared the total failure and fiasco of the U.S. imperialists' hostile policy towards the DPRK and a great victory of the Juche idea and Songun idea.

The conference underscored the need to build up strong public opinion proving the justice of the DPRK's access to nuclear deterrent and measures to bolster it and condemning the U.S. moves to stifle it.
