S. Korean Students Demand Abrogation of Humiliating "Agreement" on Issue of Sexual Slavery
Pyongyang, January 8 (KCNA) -- South Korean students are staging a widespread action in demand of the abrogation of humiliating "agreement" to cover up the issue of the sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army, according to the south Korean internet newspaper Voice of People.

The General Student Council of Ehwa Woman's University held a press conference before the Girl's Statue in front of the building of the Japanese embassy in Seoul and issued a declaration on the situation on January 4.

The organization said that the "agreement" on the issue of the sexual slavery for the Imperial Japanese Army was reached without admission of the legal responsibility and any apology for the above-said issue on December 28 last year, accusing the "government" and the Japanese authorities of flouting and deceiving the people.

A similar declaration was released by the "Situation Council of the Students' Representatives to Denounce the south Korea-Japan Agreement" composed of general student councils of 13 universities on January 6.

The Measure Committee of Students for Denouncing the south Korea-Japan Agreement held a Wednesday rally on December 30 and has waged a candlelight action around the Girl's Statue in front of the building of the Japanese embassy in Seoul.
