Day of Shining Star to Be Marked by Koreans in China

| Pyongyang, January 8 (KCNA) -- A preparatory committee of the General Association of Koreans in China for significantly celebrating the birth anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il (the Day of the Shining Star) as a great festival common to mankind was formed on January 6. Choe Un Bok, chairwoman of the association, was elected chairwoman of the preparatory committee. The committee decided to organize a ceremony of laying a floral basket, meeting, film show, art performance and other colorful events praising Kim Jong Il's sacred revolutionary career and exploits. It also decided to hold a meeting for adopting a letter to Marshal Kim Jong Un. |
