DPRK People Hail Principle of Self-Development
Pyongyang, January 7 (KCNA) -- The successful first H-bomb test in the DPRK hardens its scientists' will to hold fast to the principle of giving priority to self-development on the front of science.

Supreme leader Kim Jong Un attended an inaugural ceremony of the newly-built Sci-Tech Complex at the outset of this year, opening the first gate to the significant new year with science.

Encouraged by his noble intention, all scientists of the country have turned out in a grand advance for the nation's development of science and technology.

They are unanimous in saying that the successful test showed again the DPRK's will to outpace the world by dint of science.

Pak Chol Nam, a researcher of the Branch Academy of Railway Science under the State Academy of Sciences, told KCNA:

Science and technology guarantees an economic power and it is the key to breaking through the cutting edge.

With a strong sense of self-reliance we will do our best to smoothly settle the problems arising in the serial production of Korean-style subway train and thus show the might of the scientists and technicians of Juche Korea.

Meanwhile, young people across the country are greatly encouraged by the news of the successful H-bomb test.

Rim Yong Gon, chairman of the Ryongsong District, Pyongyang, Committee of the Kim Il Sung Socialist Youth League, said:

The successful H-bomb test is a national-historic event that guarantees the eternal future of the country.

It made us youths feel deeply the enormous might of the principle of self-development.

We are now replete with a will to fully display our youthful energy and wisdom in the general offensive for building an economic power and a highly-civilized nation like the H-bomb developers.
