They demanded the conservative regime retract its plan to retrogressively revise the labor law and stop suppressing the public under the pretext of security.

Speakers accused the regime of trying to worsen the life of workers through the retrogressive law revision, adding that unionists in Kyonggi Province would take the lead in thwarting it.

So Yong Sok, chief of the Seoul branch of the Federation, said unionists would be firmly determined to conduct the campaign for bringing a world for workers.

A resolution read out there stressed that workers can never live together with the pro-tycoon dictatorial regime and the general strike of unionists would signal an end to the unpopular regime.

They said they will never step back in their struggle despite harsher suppression by the regime.
