Pyongyang Center Opens in Amur Region, Russia
Pyongyang, December 31 (KCNA) -- The Pyongyang Center opened at the Science Library in Amur Region, Russia on Dec. 24 to mark the 24th anniversary of leader Kim Jong Il's assumption of the supreme commandership of the Korean People's Army (KPA) and the fourth anniversary of Marshal Kim Jong Un's assumption of the supreme commandership of the KPA.

On display in the venue of the opening ceremony were works of President Kim Il Sung, Kim Jong Il and Kim Jong Un, books on their greatness and other books introducing Songun Korea.

Present at the ceremony were personages of the Blagoveshensk City Administration and the Science Library in Amur Region and other people. Officials of the DPRK mission in Khabarovsk were invited to the ceremony.

Kosolapov, vice mayor of the Blagoveshensk City Administration, said that it is very important for the Far East Region to develop the traditional relations of friendship and cooperation between the Russian Federation and the DPRK.

Dolgoruk, curator of the Science Library, said that the Pyongyang Center would help residents in Amur Region know better about the culture, tradition and development of the DPRK.

A tablet of the Pyongyang Center was unveiled.
