Withdrawal of SL Demanded in S. Korea

| Pyongyang, December 30 (KCNA) -- Civic and social organizations and religious organizations of south Korea held a press conference in Seoul on Dec. 23, demanding the repeal of the "Security Law" (SL) and the dissolution of the Intelligence Service (IS). They included the Family Movement for Realizing Democracy, the Association for Supporting Prisoners of Conscience of the Family Movement for Realizing Democracy, the People's Solidarity for the Repeal of the "National Security Law" and the "Christian Pastors' Group for Peaceful Action." The speakers disclosed the unreasonable moves of the security authorities to fabricate a "spying case" by bringing the baseless charge of "espionage" to pastor Kim Song Yun. They urged the security authorities to make an apology to the people for their illegal suppression of the religionist and release him at once. The repeal of the evil law and the dissolution of the IS should no longer be delayed, they demanded. |
