Industrial Establishments Challenged to Socialist Emulation for Increased Production
Pyongyang, December 30 (KCNA) -- A meeting took place at the Cultural House of the Kim Jong Thae Electric Locomotive Complex on Wednesday to challenge the industrial establishments across the country to a socialist emulation for increased production for greeting the 7th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea with unprecedented labor successes.

Ju Yong Gil, chairman of the Central Committee of the General Federation of Trade Unions of Korea, made a report at the meeting to be followed by speeches.

The reporter and speakers recalled that under the leadership of the peerlessly great persons of Mt. Paektu, the workers and the trade union members built a new democratic country from scratch, full of conviction of certain victory and optimism, built a socialist industrial state on debris after the war and brought about eye-opening miracles and changes in building a thriving nation despite difficulties and ordeals.

They called upon all workers and trade union members to turn out in the drive to present the most significant valuable labor gifts to the 7th Congress of the Workers' Party of Korea out of patriotism and loyalty, pure conscience and noble sense of obligation.

They called upon all industrial establishments across the country to launch a dynamic socialist emulation for increased production through collective innovations by helping and leading each other forward in the vigorous drive for grand advance.

Outlines for the socialist emulation were announced at the meeting.
