Anniversary of Demise of Kim Jong Il Observed by Indian Newspapers
Pyongyang, December 30 (KCNA) -- Indian newspapers carried special write-ups to observe the fourth anniversary of demise of leader Kim Jong Il.

The Dec. 17th issue of Indian and World Event dedicated two whole pages to articles under the headline "Mt. Paektu and Kim Jong Il" illustrated with his photo.

An article titled "Ushering in new era of independent reunification" said that he devoted all his energies and efforts to achieving national reunification.

Chairman of the National Defence Commission Kim Jong Il, who pursued the outstanding Songun policy to protect the destiny of the country and the nation and open a turning phase for reunification of Korea, is always alive as peerless patriot in humble reverence of the Korean people and other progressives of the world, the article added.

The Dec. 12th issue of Awaking in an article titled "Songun brilliant commander" said that Kim Jong Il, leader of Korea, was the distinguished strategist with matchless pluck. It praised him as a brilliant commander recognized by the whole world when a nuclear crisis occurred on the Korean Peninsula in the 1990s.

The newspaper said he formulated the Songun politics as the main political mode under socialism and led the socialist cause and the cause of independence against imperialism to victory.
