Exemplary officials and fishermen in the fisheries under the KPA present in the conference room of the Party Central Committee in Dec. 2013, Dec. 2014 and Dec. 2015 are the heroes of this conference room, he said, adding: The fact that you review the year's work and receive new tasks here every year eloquently shows that the fishing campaign is the issue directly linked with the combat preparations of the People's Army and the improvement of the people's living standard.

We made sure that exemplary officials and fishermen in the fisheries under the KPA were invited to be present at the conference room of the WPK and given thanks and let them receive the blessings of the whole country because we hold dear the pure conscience with which you have worked hard in the sea rain or shine in order to carry out the behests of the great leaders, standing firm on the one front of the revolution when the country is under a hard and difficult situation and, at the same time, we felt the need to encourage everybody to learn from you.

The remarkable successes made in the East and West Seas of Korea added patriotic passion and joy to yourself and parents who sent their beloved sons and daughters and families across the country, he said, noting that he harden the conviction that if they work in this spirit, all the units of the KPA and families of the whole country would be filled with the sea flavor of socialism in the near future and that a new history of big fish haul could be created without fail.

The party and the country will always remember the officials and fishermen under the KPA, the creators of the history of big fish hauls, who have devotedly implemented the fishery policy of the party by working heart and soul after accepting it as an immutable truth and faith, he said, adding that he provided this opportunity of meeting and encouraging the comrades, shaking the hands of new innovators and awarding orders and medals to them as early as possible despite the pressure of time.

He called upon the officials and fishermen in the fisheries under the KPA to hit the goal set by the Party Central Committee and unfailingly realize the wishes of the great leaders who worked heart and soul to provide the service personnel and people with plenty of fishes, deeply aware how important their posts are and how great the party's trust and expectation are.

He set the goal to be hit by the fisheries under the KPA next year and specified the tasks and ways to do so.

The East and West Seas of Korea are like great battle fields without gun fire for defending our party, ideology and social system, he said, calling for resolutely shattering the moves of the hostile forces to isolate and stifle the DPRK, the forces which do not want to see us live well and prosper, through successful fishing operations and making hurrah for socialism and the Workers' Party heard from the dinner tables of the service personnel and people.

He earnestly called for devoting all wisdom and passion to bringing earlier the day when "Song of Big Fish Haul" is sung in the seas of the socialist country reporting signal successes in fishing operations and all posts and the families across the country are pervaded with sea flavor of socialism.

Vice Marshal of the KPA Hwang Pyong So, director of the General Political Bureau of the KPA, read out a decree of the Presidium of the Supreme People's Assembly of the DPRK.

Kim Jong Un awarded party and state commendations to the participants in the meeting.
