The Switzerland-Korea Committee and the Swiss Group for the Study of the Juche Idea said this in a joint statement on Dec. 11 on the occasion of the 98th birth anniversary of anti-Japanese war hero Kim Jong Suk.

The statement said:

Kim Jong Suk bravely fought against the Japanese imperialists after joining the Korean People's Revolutionary Army led by the great Generalissimo Kim Il Sung.

She was the most loyal revolutionary comrade-in-arm of President Kim Il Sung.

She devotedly defended Kim Il Sung in several battles during the period of the anti-Japanese armed struggle.

She gave birth to Generalissimo Kim Jong Il and brought him up to be the successor to the revolutionary cause of Juche and Songun.

After the liberation of Korea, she positively assisted Kim Il Sung in his work for building the party, state and army and played a big role in building the regular army.

The Korean people are always revering and holding her in high esteem as the mother of Korea as she warmly loved the people and devoted herself to their happiness.
