According to data available, more than 1,100 tons of tree seeds were gathered, millions of holes dug and tens of hectares of firewood forests created throughout the country.

Pyongyang City gathered over 20 tons of tree seeds, digging pits at 107 percent.

North Phyongan Province turned out 90 million saplings and planted 340 hectares with 1.38 million trees of good species.

South Hamgyong Province collected at least 220 tons of tree seeds, produced 63 million saplings and planted over 7.69 million trees.

Ongjin and Pyoksong counties in South Hwanghae Province created some 10 hectares of firewood forest.

The same can be said of North Hwanghae, South Phyongan, North Hamgyong and Jagang provinces.
