Japanese Reactionaries' Ambition to Grab Tok Islet Assailed
Pyongyang, December 23 (KCNA) -- Supra-partisan lawmakers belonging to the "Dietmen's League for Defending Japanese Territory" recently visited the Marine Intelligence Department of the Coast Guard Agency of Japan to check the preservation of the ordnance map of Tok Islet drawn in 1908. The map drawn by the Department of the Japanese Navy Waterway, predecessor of the Marine Intelligence Department, reportedly shows topographical details and directions on Tok Islet including its altitude.

What is ridiculous is that the acting chairman of the Policy Research Council of the Liberal Democratic Party of Japan who doubles as chairman of the above-said league talked rubbish that the map is "valuable evidence" proving that Tok Islet is part of the territory of Japan.

The said map is no more than a worthless one, says Minju Joson Wednesday in a commentary.

Citing facts to prove that Tok Islet was first discovered by the ancestors of Korea and has historically been used by Koreans, the commentary goes on:

The Japanese Shimane Prefectural government promulgated that Tok Islet came under the administrative control of the prefecture in 1905 when the Japanese imperialists' moves for aggression of Korea got into full swing following the deprivation of Korea of its sovereignty through the fabrication of the "Ulsa (1905) Five-point Treaty."

This proves that Japan's first claim to "dominium over Tok Islet" was the extension and product of the Japanese imperialists' moves for invading Korea.

The Japanese reactionaries justify Japan's crime-woven history and insist that Tok Islet belongs to it. Their shameless behavior shows that their wild ambition for aggression of Korea remains unchanged.

The Japanese reactionaries should stop at once the foolish act of having an eye on other's territory, bearing deep in mind that their ambition to grab Tok Islet is a daydream.
