Rodong Sinmun Discloses U.S. Trick behind Its Call for Deployment of THAAD in S. Korea
Pyongyang, December 23 (KCNA) -- Recently, an American non-governmental research organization held a seminar on the theme of "missile defence in Pacific" at U.S. Congress.

Its director general said THAAD serves as the most effective means for defending south Korea from "missile threats from north Korea".

A senior researcher of another U.S. non-governmental research organization, the former director of the Missile Defense Agency of the U.S. Defense Department and several other experts also called THAAD a package system capable of holding back north Korea's missiles with diverse missions, underscoring the need to deploy it in south Korea.

Rodong Sinmun Wednesday says in a commentary in this regard:

This is part of cunning information campaign aimed to deploy THAAD in south Korea at any cost by making the international community immune to it.

The relations between the U.S. and the neighboring countries of the DPRK are those among competitive rivals who can not compromise not only in politics and economy but in military affairs.

The neighboring countries are building up their muscle to neutralize the domination of the U.S. over the Asia-Pacific region while bolstering up their military capabilities in high speed, actually displaying influences in the region in no small measure.

So the U.S. military upper-hand is sinking like a setting sun.

Lurking behind the public opinion being built up over the need to deploy THAAD in south Korea is the ulterior purpose to ensure military superiority by spying out all the military movement of competitive rivals and taking preliminary measures.

The U.S. complaint about the DPRK's "missile threats" is nothing but a pretext to justify the deployment of THAAD in south Korea.
