Kim Jong Il's Demise Anniversary Observed by Foreign Media
Pyongyang, December 23 (KCNA) -- Foreign media carried reports to observe the fourth anniversary of demise of leader Kim Jong Il.

An Indonesian news agency said in an article titled "Leader Kim Jong Il, for Korea's reunification" on Dec. 16:

H.E. Kim Jong Il wisely led the cause of building the state and the cause of national reunification all his life, true to the intention of President Kim Il Sung.

He visited the monument inscribed with Kim Il Sung's signature erected in Panmunjom and made a firm resolution to carry out his cause of national reunification.

He formulated the three principles of national reunification and the ten-point programme of the great unity of the whole nation and the proposal for founding the Democratic Federal Republic of Koryo set forth by the President as the three charters for national reunification.

He made sure that the north-south summit in June, 2000, for the first time in the history of division of the Korean nation, was provided and the June 15 joint declaration was adopted.

The Dec. 12th issue of the Nigerian newspaper Nigerian Observer said in an article titled "Immortal exploits for peace" that the exploits of Chairman of the National Defence Commission Kim Jong Il will go down forever in history as he beat back the imperialists' aggression, high-handed and arbitrary practices and safeguarded peace and security with his unique Songun politics.

The Senegalese newspaper Le Populaire and state radio broadcasting service said on Dec. 17 that the Korean people added shine to the revolutionary career and exploits of Kim Jong Il and thoroughly carried out his behests for the past four years after his demise.
