Kim Jong Il's Demise Anniversary Observed Abroad
Pyongyang, December 21 (KCNA) -- Events took place in various countries on Dec. 10 and 11 on the occasion of the fourth anniversary of demise of leader Kim Jong Il.

They included a remembrance meeting, photo and book exhibition and film show held in London under the co-sponsorship of the British committee for remembering Comrade Kim Jong Il and the Coordinating Committee of the British Friends of the DPRK.

Displayed at the venue of the event were photos dealing with the exploits of the great leaders.

On display there were works of President Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and books and photos introducing the Korean people in their struggle for building a thriving nation.

Participants of the film show watched the Korean film dealing with the exploits of Marshal Kim Jong Un.

They laid a floral basket before the portraits of smiling Kim Il Sung and Kim Jong Il and paid tribute to them.

The general secretary of the Central Committee of the New Communist Party of Britain, the general secretary of the Central Committee of the Revolutionary Communist Party of Britain (Marxist-Leninist), the chairman of the Korean Friendship Association UK and other speakers lauded Kim Jong Il for upholding the banner of Songun to resolutely smash the imperialists' moves for stifling the DPRK, defend socialist Korea and usher in the new era of building a thriving nation.

They praised Kim Jong Il as a distinguished thinker and theoretician who proved the scientific accuracy and truth of socialism and a peerless statesman who turned the DPRK into a socialist power.

A letter to Kim Jong Un was adopted at the meeting.

Meanwhile, remembrance meetings were held in Kuwait and Indonesia.
