Rodong Sinmun Discloses U.S. Nature behind Its Hypocritical Call for Dialogue
Pyongyang, December 19 (KCNA) -- Recently the U.S. together with its followers made absurd remarks on denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula and resumption of the six-party talks, by mixing the issue of concluding a peace treaty with the denuclearization issue.

Rodong Sinmun Saturday says in an article in this regard:

Talking about "nuclear and missile threats" from the DPRK and the "need to observe international law and norms", the U.S. called for an important advance in the denuclearization before replacing the Armistice Agreement by a peace treaty.

Meanwhile, the U.S. ruling quarters speak in public they pursue no hostile policy toward the DPRK but are interested in peace and dialogue of the Korean Peninsula.

It is necessary to disclose again the deceptive nature of the U.S. talk about dialogue, given that the hostile forces mislead the public opinion over the issue of the Korean Peninsula.

The DPRK has made every possible effort to remove the danger of war, defuse the tension and create a peaceful climate on the peninsula but all in vain.

Lurking behind the U.S. talk about the "need to observe international law and norms" is its black-hearted intention to isolate and stifle the DPRK in the international community.

It is a sheer lie that the U.S. does not pursue hostile policy toward the DPRK.

All the sanctions against the DPRK imposed by the U.S. so far stem from its inveterate repugnancy and hostility toward the DPRK and the ensuing hostile policy.

The U.S. should not resort to a sleight of hand but withdraw the hostile policy to the DPRK of its own accord and come out for dialogue for the peace treaty as early as possible.
