DPRK Sportspersons Win about 250 Medals in 2015 Int'l Games
Pyongyang, December 18 (KCNA) -- DPRK sportspersons bagged about 250 medals including over 90 gold medals in the international games this year, displaying the honor of the country.

The DPRK woman footballers scored three straight wins in EAFF 2015 East Asia Cup, creating a sports myth.

Kim Hye Gyong came first at the 15th Asian Marathon Championship and the 2015 Hong Kong Marathon.

Kim Kuk Hyang placed first at the women's 10m platform diving finals of the 16th FINA World Championships held in Kazan, Russia in July.

The DPRK women's football teams won at the 2015 AFC U-14 Girl Regional Championship (East Asia) and the 2015 AFC U-16 Women's Championship.

DPRK weightlifters proved successful at the 2015 World Weightlifting Championship held in the U.S.

Om Yun Chol jerked 171 kg in the 56kg category of men's weightlifting, setting a new world record and winning two gold medals.

DPRK player Ri Se Gwang placed first at the men's vault event of the 46th Artistic Gymnastics World Championships held in UK, becoming twice world champion.

DPRK weightlifter Pak Jong Ju bagged three gold medals at the 2015 World Youth Weightlifting Championship and Kang Yong Mi won a gold medal in the woman uneven bar at the 2015 FIG artistic gymnastic world challenge cup and Kwak Chol bagged a gold medal in the international boxing tournament named after Konstantin Korotkov.

The DPRK players bagged 16 gold medals, four silvers and five bronzes to come first in the countries' standings at the 19th World Taekwon-do Championships.
