Rodong Sinmun Slams U.S. Arms Buildup in S. Korea
Pyongyang, December 16 (KCNA) -- The U.S. recently announced that it would dispatch to south Korea over 4,500 troops of the first armored brigade under the first cavalry division in Fort Hood, Texas, under the pretext of the regular rotation deployment.

Rodong Sinmun Wednesday says in a commentary in this regard:

The above-said U.S. forces deployment goes to prove that the U.S. remains unchanged in its hostile policy towards the DPRK and is rushing for a war against it.

The U.S. often pays lip-service to "ensuring peace and detente" on the Korean Peninsula whenever a chance presents itself, but behaves quite contrary to its words in practice.

It is the strategic purpose of the U.S. to stifle the DPRK by force of arms and the U.S. has systematically reinforced its forces in south Korea since long ago in a bid to attain the purpose.

It is the U.S. calculation that it can easily carry out its pivot to Asia-Pacific policy only when it contains the DPRK militarily and put the whole of Korea under its control.

What the U.S. seeks is not to ensure peace on the peninsula but to unilaterally disarm the DPRK.

One may conclude that the U.S. attempt to forward-deploy its combat forces based in its mainland in south Korea is premised on the use of force against the DPRK.

The U.S. is loudmouthed about "ensuring peace" on the peninsula, but the reality clearly proves what it wants is a war and it is, therefore, the arch criminal escalating the tension on the peninsula and the enemy of peace.

The U.S. is harboring a foolish daydream, utterly ignorant of who its rival is.

It is a pipedream to disarm the DPRK and bring it down by force of arms.
