The editorial recalled that the "government" had the New York Times carried a story about its reform.

This was the story refuting the criticism of the south Korean government's "state-compiled" history textbook and labor reform, etc. which was made by the newspaper last month, it noted, and continued:

It was shameful that the government's retrogressive policy became a target of criticism from foreign media but the government is insisting on its unilateral assertion while ignoring the people's will.

The story is no more than a lame excuse for the "government's" failure of the state administration while belittling the people.
