Present at the meeting were Choe Su Bong, vice-chairman of the association, and officials of the association and its affiliated units and Koreans in China and the DPRK consul general in Shenyang.

The participants observed a moment's silence in memory of Kim Jong Il.

Choe said in his speech that Kim Jong Il was the outstanding thinker and theoretician and peerless elder statesman who always led the revolution and construction to victory with his profound ideas and theories and through his extraordinary leadership, endowed with the noblest personality and quality as a great man, adding:

He consolidated the party, state and army to be President Kim Il Sung's party, state and army and put the national dignity and power on the highest level.

The history of his revolutionary activities, his revolutionary exploits, his august name and benevolent image will always be remembered by the service personnel and people of the country and overseas Koreans.

A message to Marshal Kim Jong Un was adopted at the meeting.

The participants watched a Korean film dealing with Kim Jong Il's revolutionary exploits.
