Japanese Judicial Authorities' Fascist Judgment under Fire
Pyongyang, December 12 (KCNA) -- Nam Sung U, vice-chairman of the Central Standing Committee of the General Association of Korean Residents in Japan (Chongryon), issued a statement on Dec. 10 in protest against the Japanese judicial authorities' illegal and fascist judgment.

The statement accused the Kyoto District Court of sentencing Kim Yong Jo, president of the Korean Goods Sales Company, to two years in prison with a four-year stay of execution and Ho Jong Do, a staff of Kim's company, to one year and eight months in prison with a four-year stay of execution, and fining the company two million yens on charges of the violation of the "law on foreign exchange".

The statement said:

The recent judgment is a manifestation of the Japanese authorities' hostile policy towards the DPRK and discrimination and persecution against the Korean residents in Japan pursuant to the policy, and clearly shows that the judicial authorities actively joined in the crackdown upon Chongryon.

Its aim is to deal a blow at Chongryon by building up public opinion against the DPRK and Chongryon among the Japanese by labeling it as a "criminal organization" at any cost.

The recent judgment will bring serious consequences to the DPRK-Japan relations and the judge who made the unprecedented mistake in history of the Japanese judiciary being subservient to power will never be free from remorse for his crimes.
