Koreans in U.S. Support Struggle of S. Koreans
Pyongyang, December 9 (KCNA) -- The Association for Supporting Prisoners of Conscience of the Family Movement for Realizing Democracy in the U.S. held a meeting in Los Angeles on Dec. 3 to mark the first anniversary of its formation.

Its Chairman Kim Si Hwan said that the number of prisoners of conscience is on the rapid increase under the present south Korean regime.

He appealed to the Koreans in the U.S. to take an active part in the work for supporting prisoners of conscience.

Paek Sung Bae, chairman of the U.S. Regional Headquarters of the Pan-National Alliance for Korea's Reunification, Yun Kil Sang, chairman of the Federation of Koreans in the U.S., and others made speeches.

They said that a lot of south Korean workers and peasants launched actions against the ruling quarters driving people's living to destitution, adding that they would positively support the south Koreans' actions.

A report on the activities of the organization was made to be followed by the reading out of a statement.
